Vestre
Rapid international growth with an impact-driven and actionable 2030 strategy
Opportunity
Vestre is a family owned company in urban furniture. For more than 70 years, they have helped create social meeting places for millions of people with their iconic, high quality and inclusive products.
With the opening of their new factory The Plus in 2022 (the worlds most sustainable furniture factory) their production capacity increased, as did their ability to control the entire value chain. With a booming interest from several markets globally, Vestre wanted to develop a new strategy, guiding their priorities and actions towards 2030 — staying true to their vision and DNA, while growing their positive impact and revenue.
Delivery
In close collaboration with the CEO, we facilitated a thorough strategy process with a number of workshops with the leadership team, the board of directors and all employees. The final delivery was an aspiring and actionable business strategy, defining both financial and non-financial ambitions, must win battles and key strategic priorities towards 2030.
We also helped Vestre clarify and implement their already existing values of Design, Sustainability and Quality in the organisation. As scaling the organisation with new capabilities, employees and locations will be crucial to success, keeping and strengthening their unique culture is a vital priority.
Result
The strategy provides direction and focus for all major initiatives and investments for the coming years — and the strategy process has ensured both ownership, understanding and enthusiasm across the organisation.
“Our vision is to create social meeting places that enhance democracy. And one of our ambitions towards 2030 is to be recognised as the most sustainable furniture company in the world.”
Bjørn Fjellstad
